Artist Statement
I am a Maldivian visual artist inspired by the vastness of the cosmos, the mysteries of human nature, and the boundless possibilities of exploration. My work is a journey — into both the world around me and the emotions within.
Rooted in experimentation, I blend diverse styles, textures, and techniques to create evocative, dreamlike narratives. Through my art, I explore themes of growth, fantasy, sensuality, and the unconscious mind — inviting viewers into spaces of discovery, connection, and wonder.
For me, art is more than expression — it’s transformation. Every piece is an invitation to see beyond the surface and into the intricate layers of human experience.

“Disorienting Whisper” explores the profound weight of isolation and the mental fragmentation that often accompanies misunderstood perspectives. The central figure is surrounded by shadows symbolizing the isolation of feeling unheard or unseen, while the stitching suggests the struggle to hold together a fractured mind and spirit. The swirling, smoky distortions of the face represent the mental fog and confusion that arise from internalized pain and the clash of self-identity with external judgment. This piece delves into the silent battles we fight within ourselves when communication breaks down and understanding seems just out of reach.
